How to Access Free Yahoo! Chat Rooms in From Yahoo Messenger:
Whether you are new to Yahoo! Messenger or nobody is online to talk to, Yahoo! users (18 years and up) have access to millions of other users available at all hours in Yahoo! Chat. These free, topical chat rooms are available to all Yahoo! Messenger users and can be a great place to meet new people.
To launch a Yahoo! Chat, first select the “Messenger” tab on the top Yahoo! toolbar and navigate your cursor down the list to “Yahoo! Chat.”
Next, select “Join a Room…” to browse a specific menu of topical Yahoo! Chats in Yahoo! Messenger.
Users can navigate a broad list of available free, topical Yahoo! chatrooms by double-clicking on the files next to each subtopic in the Yahoo! Chat menu. Once you have located a chatroom you would like to enter, select “Go to Room.”
Your chatroom window will begin loading in Yahoo! Messenger. Once the animated bar indicates the chat has loaded, click “Enter Chat.”
Before users can enter a Yahoo! Chat, they must enter a series of random digits and characters. This helps shield users from computer-operated spambots from entering Yahoo! Chat. Enter the characters (as they appear in the image) in the text field in the shaded window, then click “Submit.”
After successfully entering the characters in the Yahoo! Chat, the chat room will load and you can begin conversing with new Yahoo! Messenger users from down the street to around the globe! Happy chatting!
